Grazing in Harmony

Our cattle and sheep share the same pastures in a natural, mutually beneficial partnership. Sheep tend to graze leafy plants and forbs, while cattle favor grasses, allowing both species to make the most of the land without competing for the same forage. Because they host different parasites, rotating them together also supports healthier pastures and a more balanced regenerative grazing system.

The Regenerative Cycle

Herefords, Angus, & Black Baldies

We pair purebred Hereford cows with purebred Angus bulls to produce F1 crossbred calves known as Black Baldies. They inherit the Angus cattle’s dark coat and the Herefords’ distinctive white faces. This pairing brings together the gentle, curious nature of Hereford cows with the growth rate and exceptional meat quality of Angus cattle. The result is hybrid vigor—calves with strengths that can surpass those of either parent breed.

Sheep from Maine

Developed near Mount Katahdin in Maine in the 1950's, Katahdin sheep are hardy hair sheep that are low maintenance and do not require shearing. Known as an excellent meat breed, they produce tender, flavorful lamb for special occasions, including Easter.
